Training on ‘Internet Trading Service’ at CSE

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has organized a training program on “Internet Trading Service” for the investors in Chittagong to aware the investors of CSE’s new Internet Trading Application called CHITRA featuring comprehensive trading and market monitoring platform.

CSE’s Internet Trading Application CHITRA offers real time streaming quotes with simple and user friendly interface for all type of users. It provides the liberty to trade hassle-free from anywhere of the world.

CSE’s Acting Managing Director Md. Ghulam Faruque while inaugurating the training program which will organize across the country gradually said that, “”Through this software investors can watch the details about indices of CSE, market news, market movers, overview of statistics, csegraphs and related information of stock market.” He said that, “CSE has launched these two Smartphone applications CHITRA & CSE Cloud in July 2015. Up to January 2016, approximately 2583 download of CHITRA & 1533 download of CSE Cloud from Google play store. Approximate 1700 logins from CHITRA are traced from CSE IT and around 500 Smartphone base users’ turnovers are included with ITS turnover.”

Training and Awareness Department Head, Mr. AKM Shahroze Alam said that  “CSE after the introduction of automated trading system in Bangladesh in 1998, CSE was also the first bourse to introduce Internet Trading services in this country. CSE introduced Internet Trading System on 30th May 2004. The internet Trading System of CSE is a real online Internet based trading application which is directly integrated with the main trading engine.”

This application supports Multiple Brokers, supports direct Dealer Access. It provides online cash, margin and back office reports to both Dealer and investors, the further said.

Around 26,575 ITS accounts are active investors in CSE. Total turnover of ITS in 2016 was Tk. 2,026,037,883.70 and monthly average of Tk. 2,98,435,783.29 and daily average of Tk. 21104561.29. Mr. Alam also said, the total 45 investors attended the training program.
