Bangladeshi opening batsman Tamim Iqbal and his wife Ayesha Siddiqui were blessed with a baby boy on Sunday.
The baby was delivered at a hospital in Bangkok early in the morning, according to a Facebook status of Tamim.
In his Facebook status, Bangladesh’s star batsman sought blessings from all for his new child and his wife.
“Our little bundle of joy has arrived! By the grace of Almighty, we’ve been blessed with a baby boy earlier this morning. Though both mom and son are doing fine, Doctors have kept the little one under observation for 24 hours. Please keep us in your prayers,” read the Tamim’s post.
He told Prothom Alo over phone, “It feels like I got a lot of responsibilities now. My son is 7.5 pounds. Doctors kept him under 24 hours observations for some minor complications.”
Tamim will return home shortly after consulting doctors in Bangkok.
