Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) opened its 87th Branch at Bandura in Nawbabgonj, Dhaka Saturday (23-11-2013). Director and former chairman of the bank Akkas Uddin Mollah formally inaugurated the branch as chief guest.
Among others, Bank’s managing director Md. Abdur Rahman Sarker, deputy managing director Md. Abdul Jabber Chowdhury and former member of parliament Khandaker Harunur Rashid were present on the occasion.
Akkas Uddin Mollah said, Shahjalal Islami Bank will provide quality services to its client by the- state-of-the-art technology blended with Islamic principles. He said, the bank will finance in SME’s for further development and expansion of SME sector.
Managing director Md. Abdur Rahman Sarker discussed elaborately about the bank’s deposit and investment schemes. He said, Shahjalal Islami Bank gradually establishes branch at every district and upazilla to provide better services and economic development. The bank has a number of agreements with world famous money transfer company concerning remittances. Bangladeshi expertise living abroad can send money safely and quickly from any part of the world to the beneficiaries in Bangladesh.
