The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) have decided to increase seat for first year honours courses under 2015-16 academic sessions in newly launched seven departments of the university those were approved in the universities 461st syndicate meeting on 29th August.
The decision came out on Monday night in a meeting of admission committee with RU vice chancellor Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin in the chair, confirmed RU public relation administrator Professor Elias Hossain.
Professor Elias Hossain said at least 355 students will be admitted to this year in newly opened seven departments for first year honours courses under 2015-16 academic sessions while 50 
students will be admitted at the newly Law and Land Administration department under Law faculty, 30 students at Electrical and Electronics Engineering department under Engineering faculty, 25 students at Clinical Psychological department under Biological and Earth Science faculty and 30 students will be admitted at the Physical and Sports Science department under Science faculty.
Besides, about 45 students will be admitted at newly launched Graphics Design, Crafts and Arts History department, 45 students at Painting department and 30 students will be admitted at the Pottery and Sculpture department under newly declared Fine Arts Faculty.
However, from this year two honors courses have been introduced under the Institution of Business Administration and Education and Research Institution while 50 students will be admitted at both of the department each, he also confirmed.
The online registration for admission under 2015-16 academic year will be held from October 1-18 while the admission test will be held from November 9 -12 this year.
