A team from Robi Axiata Ltd has recently distributed 600 Robi-branded school bags and 2000 exercise books among the students of three primary schools and a madrasa in Bandarban.
Moreover, more than 1000 woolen sweaters were also distributed at the Asartoli village of Asratoli union at Bandarban to the poor cold affected people.
The distribution of winter clothing commenced at school field around 2:30 pm where hundreds of needy cold-affected people gathered for the distribution, says a press release.
A Robi’r Alo project is also located at this same village. The first Robi’r Alo project started off in 2012 in the three villages of Kaluarchar, Char Joy Kumar and Kismat Chinai, located at the remote Kaluarchar in Rangpur. Thanks to this project electricity is being provided to nearly 600 households at these off-grid areas through a solar-powered grid. The Robi’r Alo project in Asartoli is providing villagers of four hours of power per day through solar panels.
