‘No drunkard roles for me’

Other than that, I also get recognised a lot and can no longer go jogging without having a few people jogging with me. But I’ve no complaints,” shares the actor, who has also bagged the lead role in Fitoor with Katrina Kaif.
“Of course, sometimes, you also feel like sitting alone or chilling with your friends and not worrying about being recognised,” admits Aditya, who is currently shooting for Dawaat-E-Ishq with Parineeti Chopra.
Aditya has also been bonding well with co-stars Parineeti and Anupam Kher. “Parineeti is really fun to work with. Anupam sir is entertaining and has a wealth of experience and stories to share.”
Even though his brothers Siddharth and Kunal are also in the film business, the star says that they don’t compete with each other. “Siddharth’s role is very different from mine as he is a producer. The three of us have made a conscious decision to stay away from each other’s career. Maybe, one day, we will all do something together,” he says.
About his famous bhabhi Vidya Balan, he says, “I have known her for a few years. She is family now. We share a great equation and get along really well.”
After two back-to-back roles as an alcoholic, the actor says it’s time to take a break. “I don’t want to play the role of a drunkard for a while. My mother tells me, ‘Stop holding a bottle in real life too’. It worries her but I’ve convinced her that it’s only on-screen,” he says, adding, “But if a good role comes along, things might change (laughs).”
Remakes are the latest trend in Bollywood but Aditya prefers to stay away from them. “But I’d like to do an action film someday,” he ends.
