JSC, JDC mark 89.94pc pass

The results of the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dhakhil Certificate examinations were published on Sunday with 89.94 percent pass.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence, Ganabhaban, at about 10:00 am.

Sheikh Hasina then formally published the results, reports UNB.

jscStudents will get their results after the Education Minister’s press briefing at around 1 pm at the ministry.

A total of 172,208 students secured the highest score of GPA-5 (grade point average) in the examinations.

Besides, 4997 educational institutions achieved hundred percent success in this year’s examinations.

This year, a total of 1,902,746 students — 1,587,313 from schools and 315,433 from madrasahs — sat for the examinations from 27,748 educational institutions.

Of them, 1,675,109 examinees — 879,151 boys and 983,229 girls — passed the examinations held simultaneously across the country.
