Japanese electronic plant to invest $ 1.02m in Mongla EPZ

Bangladesh Seiko Electronic Products Company Ltd, a Japan based electronic company is going set up an electrical and mechanical parts industry in Mongla EPZ.

This fully foreign owned company will invest $ 1.02 million to set up their plant with annual production capacity of 2.5 million pcs of hair spring and inductor coil Bangladesh Seiko Electronic Company will create employment opportunity for 33 Bangladeshi nationals, a press release of BEPZA said here on Monday.

bepzaAn agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and Bangladesh Seiko Electronic Products Co. Ltd. today at BEPZA Complex.

Sayed Nurul Islam, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Hisashi Miyazawa, Managing Director of Bangladesh Seiko electronic Products co. Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mr. Khandakar Aktaruzzaman, member (Engineering), A.K.M Mahbubur Rahman, member (Finance), Md. Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager) Public Relations) of BEPZA and from Bangladesh Seiko Electronic Director (Corporate Sale and Mrketing) Tsuge Naoko, general manager (HR) FHM Shamsuzzaman Shaams were present at the signing ceremony.
