Aspirants allege wrong question patterns

The admission tests for the first year honours courses under 2016-17 session began on Sunday. The exam of A and B unit held successfully while the reaming units’ exams would be held till December 7.

Admission seekers and witness sources alleged that, teachers and their guest are freely entered into the admission tests center, vehicles are roaming into the campus here and there, student wing backed by the ruling party, Bangladesh Chattra League IU unit staged showdown violating the university rules, lack of proper checking of admission seekers while entering into the test center though the IU authority banned these activities during exam time.

They also found some wrong question patterns of ‘B’ Unit than previous years.

The left leaning teachers’ alliance also alleged that ‘the questions of English for ‘B’ unit in the previous years included comprehension, grammar and language, but this year, most of the questions was from literature part which is included at honours courses while no question was from the comprehension part.’’

Seeking anonymity a professor of the university alleged that ‘I think the question pattern was set to facilitate their candidate.’

A BNCC cadet seeking anonymity said that ‘the ‘B’ unit first shift exam on BBA faculty test center was started with improper checking of the admission seekers to enter them into the center. There were no metal detector while the other tests centers were using the detector.’

Some others Rover Scout mates also alleged that ‘though there were restriction entering guests during exam times but many teachers enters frequently along with their guest. It fails security and opens the chances of test forgery’

IU VC Prof Dr Harun-ur-Rashid Askari said, exams started amid great festivity and peaceful environment. We are alert against test forgery. Though we noticed some problems but we solve them instantly.

‘We won’t tolerate anything about test forgery doesn’t matter who are behind these, he added’
