Barisal Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited organized a scholarship awarding program for underprivileged meritorious students at a local hotel in Barisal on Thursday 18 August 2016. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank distributed scholarship 
and academic instruments to 102 underprivileged students of Barisal region.
Presided over by Md. Abdul Kuddus, Executive Vice President & Head of Barisal Zone, the program was addressed by Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Head of Development Wing, Md. Yeanur Rahman, Head of HRD, Professor Sachin Kumar Roy, Principal, Govt. Syed Hatem Ali College, Sayedur Rahman Rintu, Chairman, Barisal Upazila and Lutfun Nahar Afroz, Education Officer, Barisal. Head of different educational institutions, guardians of the scholarship receiving students and officials of the bank attended the program.
