As a part of corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia has provided higher studies scholarship to 23 meritorious students of Malkhanagor, Sirajdikhan, Baligaon and Nimtola in Munshigonj and Rohitpur of Keranigonj and Agla Bazar of Nababgonj Upazila in Dhaka district on Friday (29 December, 2017) organized by Bank Asia Foundation. Mr. A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank and Bank Asia Foundation handed over the scholarship money to the students at a function held at Malkhanagor Degree College auditorium. Former Chairman of Board Executive Committee, Bank Asia and Director of the Bank Asia Foundation Mr. Rumee A Hossain, Vice Chairman of Sea Resources Group Mr. Amanullah Chowdhury, Director of Sea Resources Group Mr. Enam Chowdhury, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, Executive Director of Bank Asia Foundation Mr. Aminul Islam, Principal Malkhanagor Degree College Mr. Shafiuddin Howlader, Sirajdikhan Upazila Chairman Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed were, among others, present. A large number of people including students, teachers, journalists and local elite attended the function.
It may be mentioned that Bank Asia gives scholarships for higher study to the meritorious students in the rural areas, where the Bank has branches. A total of 205 (two hundred five) students have been selected for Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship for the current year.
