The games of the First Division Chess League-2013, organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation began on Friday at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
Mokaddes Hossain inaugurated the event while the Joint Secretary Shamim Khan, Executive Member LN. Majibur Rahman Howlader and FM Saif uddin Lavlu were present in the inauguration, says a press release.
A total 10 teams are participating in the First Division Chess League-2013. Teams number are: 1. Sultana Kamal Smirity Pathagar, 2. Agrani Bank Limited Daba Dal, 3. Basir Memorial Chess Club, 4. Farashganj Sporting Club, 5. Protiva Daba Goshti, 6. Chess Club NF3 (Change of Toyota Motors Chess Club), 7. Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club, 8. Mohakhali Pradip Sangah, 9. Fire Service & Civil Defense Sports Club 10. Destiny 2000 Limited.
The games of the league will be held round-robin league system. First Round game is going on. Top two team of the final standing will qualify in the Premier Division Chess League for 2014 and lowest scorers two teams will be relegated in the 2nd Division. 2nd round games will start tomorrow from 3:00 PM at the same venue.
