Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) signed a working agreement with The South-South Global Assets and Technology Exchange (SS-GATE), a UNDP project to promote Bangladeshi SMEs specifically in the southern region of the world. The signing ceremony took place in Doha, Qatar on the first day of the First Arab States Regional South-South Development EXPO, 18 February to 20 February 2014.
Selima Ahamd, Founder President and Chairperson of Women Entreprnenurship Development and Program committee of BWCCI and Han Bo, Vice President of SS-Gate signed the agreement.
SS-Gate is a virtual and physical platform where entrepreneurs in developing countries can interact and obtain needed technology, assets and finance in a secure environment.
SS- Gate operates through a global network of participating organizations and institutional members. BWCCI will act as the focal point country centre for implementing SS-Gate system in Bangladesh. BWCCI will collect potential business proposals from SME owners and through the SS-Gate system, will connect buyers and sellers from around the world.
