BASIC Bank Limited organized a day-long workshop on ‘Prevention of Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism’ for officials at its Training Institute recently. In the inauguration session of the workshop, Mr. Kanak Kumar Purkayastha, Deputy Managing Director & CAMLCO, was present as the chief guest.
In his speech he highlighted the importance of this workshop and advised the participants to make all out efforts to use the gathered knowledge regarding the procedures of Prevention of Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism emphasizing prevention of trade based money laundering. 40 Officials of Bank participated in the workshop.
