The winners of Bangla Academy Literary Award-2014 have been announced on Thursday. The award recipients are ShihabSarkar (Poetry), ZakirTalukdar (Fiction), ShantanuKaisar (Essay), 
BhuiyanIqbal (Research), Abu Muhammad DelowarHossain (Liberation War Literature), Mainus Sultan (Travelogue) and Khaled Bin Zainuddin (Juvenile Literature).
A five-member jury headed by Rafiqul Islam made the selection. Other members of the jury were AbulHasnat, Syed Manjurul Islam, AsadChowdhury and Hayat Mamud.
The awards would be handed over to the nominees by the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, on February 1, 2015 at the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Amar Ekushey Book Fair and Second International Literary Conference-2015’.
Each recipient will receive a cheque for Tk one lakh, a crest and a certificate.
